The Denver City Park Bicycle Race, June 7, 2009

2009 Wrap-Up

Thanks to all who came out to race and spectate at the 2009 City Park Race. We had fantastic weather (for the morning at least) and great racing (see results at americancycling.org's website). And a large THANK-YOU to our sponsors who made for a very generous prize-list with priems on nearly everly lap. And of course a super-duper THANK-YOU to the volunteers, officials, and other support people. You guys rock!

2009 Overview

2008 City Park Criterium Poster (PDF Link)Rocky Mountain Road Club and Rocky Mountain Spine and Sport presents the 38th annual Fred Prindle Memorial City Park Bike Race on June 7th, 2009. We again use the longer course around the lake (for most groups) and BAR/BAT Yellow group (SM 4, SM 35+/4, SM 35+/3, SW 3, SM 65+ and SW55+). We've finalized groups and start times and our prize list looks impressive. Again we'll have the ever popular noon kid's race and this year features a CAF Cruiser Criterium to wrap up this action-packed day! Read on for many more details and check back for updates...

The Course

The 2009 course will take advantage of extended portions of the Denver's City Park in a 2 mile figure 8 loop. This course will provide wide open sections for aggressive racing and several technical turns to ensure an action packed race. Due to a conflict with City Park Jazz, only races starting before 3pm will be able to use the long course. Other races and the Robinson Dairy Kids Race will use the short course.
